The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,287.61) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Bastien-Lepage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Sarah Bernhardt in October last year with an auction result of USD 2,280,000.00 (€ 2,295,147.98).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit French le Petit Lord von Jules Bastien-Lepage wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.287,61) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00.
