Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work The little gitana by Augustus Jules Bouvier for GBP 120.00 (€ 177.90). This price was achieved in the auction British & Continental Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augustus Jules Bouvier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Knight's Enchantment in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 8,723.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The little gitana von Augustus Jules Bouvier für GBP 120,00 (€ 177,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British & Continental Watercolours bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Augustus Jules Bouvier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Knight's Enchantment im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.975,00 (€ 8.723,31).
