In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of An Elegant Lady by Jules-Alexandre Grün for USD 2,142.00 (€ 1,839.10). This price was achieved in the auction European Paintings, Drawings & Sculptures at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jules-Alexandre Grün have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Étude Pour 'Un Groupe D'Artistes' in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,586.03).
