Despite a disappointment, a good price for Jules-Alexandre Grün
When the work Étude Pour 'Un Groupe D'Artistes' by Jules-Alexandre Grün was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,586.03). Despite this disappointing result, Étude Pour 'Un Groupe D'Artistes' is the most expensive artwork by Jules-Alexandre Grün that we have observed at auction so far.
