Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Directrices by Juan Roberto Diago was sold in the Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,500.00 (€ 7,090.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Roberto Diago - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,942.07).
