Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled, 2003 by Juan Pedro Fabra Guemberena was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 22,000.00 (€ 2,121.23). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Pedro Fabra Guemberena - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "True Colours", which sold at auction in May 2011 for SEK 58,000.00 (€ 6,527.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled, 2003 von Juan Pedro Fabra Guemberena im Oktober 2020 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 22.000,00 (€ 2.121,23) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Pedro Fabra Guemberena mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "True Colours" beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für SEK 58.000,00 (€ 6.527,82) versteigert wurde.
