Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,913.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Pablo Salinas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The matador's triumph in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 91,750.00 (€ 156,826.98).

Die Arbeit A toast to the cardinal von Juan Pablo Salinas kam im Mai 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.913,31) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juan Pablo Salinas erzielen.
