Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Conversation In The Boudoir by Juan Pablo Salinas. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,706.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Pablo Salinas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The matador's triumph in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 91,750.00 (€ 156,826.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Conversation In The Boudoir von Juan Pablo Salinas zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.706,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juan Pablo Salinas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The matador's triumph im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 91.750,00 (€ 156.826,98).
