Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ruinas de la Torre de Babel by Juan O'Gorman was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2008. The price achieved of USD 194,500.00 (€ 153,221.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 180,000.00 – 220,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan O'Gorman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Consumatum Est, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 378,000.00 (€ 352,250.49).
