Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale, which included the work Paisaje lunático by Juan O'Gorman. The price achieved of USD 102,000.00 (€ 75,443.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Juan O'Gorman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Consumatum Est in May last year with an auction result of USD 378,000.00 (€ 352,250.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paisaje lunático von Juan O'Gorman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 102.000,00 (€ 75.443,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Juan O'Gorman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Consumatum Est im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 352.250,49).
