Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by Juan Melé. It changed hands for a price of USD 68,750.00 (€ 50,403.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Other works by Juan Melé have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2019 the work Planos y lineas No. 59 was auctioned for USD 75,000.00 (€ 68,064.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Juan Melé zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 50.403,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Juan Melé konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2019 die Arbeit Planos y lineas No. 59 für USD 75.000,00 (€ 68.064,25) versteigert.
