Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work The Disputation Of Saint Jerome by Juan de Valdés Leal. The price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 139,480.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by Juan de Valdés Leal have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2009 the work The Visitation was auctioned for USD 182,500.00 (€ 142,533.58).

Im Juli 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Disputation Of Saint Jerome von Juan de Valdés Leal zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 139.480,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden.
