A top price for Juan Batlle Planas - as previously expected
The work Figure by Juan Batlle Planas was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 30,329.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Figure is the most expensive artwork by Juan Batlle Planas that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Figure von Juan Batlle Planas kam im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 30.329,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Figure das teuerste Kunstwerk von Juan Batlle Planas, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
