Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work The Sacrifice of Isaac by Juan Antonio de Frias y Escalante was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,910.45). Admittedly, works by Juan Antonio de Frias y Escalante have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Vision Of Saint Paschal Baylon in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 28,679.43).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit The Sacrifice of Isaac von Juan Antonio de Frias y Escalante kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.910,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Juan Antonio de Frias y Escalante auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Vision Of Saint Paschal Baylon im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 28.679,43).
