Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Verdon, Provence by Józef Pankiewicz was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,162.95). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Józef Pankiewicz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Garden Path framed 42.5 x 34.8 x 2.5 cm (16 3/4 x 13 5/8 x 1 in)., which sold at auction in November this year for USD 89,400.00 (€ 81,958.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Verdon, Provence von Józef Pankiewicz kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 38.162,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Józef Pankiewicz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Garden Path framed 42.5 x 34.8 x 2.5 cm (16 3/4 x 13 5/8 x 1 in). beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für USD 89.400,00 (€ 81.958,20) versteigert wurde.
