Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art: A Different Perspective, which included the work Farm House by Józef Pankiewicz. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,484.89). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Józef Pankiewicz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Garden Path framed 42.5 x 34.8 x 2.5 cm (16 3/4 x 13 5/8 x 1 in)., which sold at auction in November this year for USD 89,400.00 (€ 81,958.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art: A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Farm House von Józef Pankiewicz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.484,89) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Józef Pankiewicz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Garden Path framed 42.5 x 34.8 x 2.5 cm (16 3/4 x 13 5/8 x 1 in). beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für USD 89.400,00 (€ 81.958,20) versteigert wurde.
