The work The Guardian by Joy Mallari was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,110.83), 36% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joy Mallari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Sword Of A Thousand Truths, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,606.59).

Die Arbeit The Guardian von Joy Mallari wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.110,83) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Joy Mallari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Sword Of A Thousand Truths beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.606,59) versteigert wurde.
