Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Beautiful Glitch by Joy Mallari was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,198.03). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joy Mallari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Sword Of A Thousand Truths, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,606.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Beautiful Glitch von Joy Mallari wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.198,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Joy Mallari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Sword Of A Thousand Truths beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.606,59) versteigert wurde.
