Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction Master Drawings from the Oppé Collection, which included the work A rocky landscape with a castle on a hilltop by Josua de Grave. The price achieved of GBP 600.00 (€ 890.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Josua de Grave have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shepherds With Their Flock Watering In A Classical Landscape in September 2007 with an auction result of EUR 8,050.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Master Drawings from the Oppé Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit A rocky landscape with a castle on a hilltop von Josua de Grave zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 600,00 (€ 890,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Josua de Grave auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shepherds With Their Flock Watering In A Classical Landscape im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.050,00.
