In the Old Master and British Pictures and Old Master Drawings auction, the work A goatherd on a path, a mountain landscape beyond; and An extensive landscape with a buttressed castle sold for GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,669.11) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 400.00. Admittedly, works by Josua de Grave have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shepherds With Their Flock Watering In A Classical Landscape in September 2007 with an auction result of EUR 8,050.00.
