Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Josua de Grave could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work A landscape with a church and castle in the distance changed hands for USD 312.50 (€ 215.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josua de Grave achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shepherds With Their Flock Watering In A Classical Landscape in September 2007 with an auction result of EUR 8,050.00.
