Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction British Art on Paper, which included the work The Young Faggot Gatherer by Joshua Cristall. The price achieved of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,115.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Joshua Cristall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Barking timber in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,349.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Art on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Young Faggot Gatherer von Joshua Cristall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.115,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joshua Cristall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Barking timber im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.349,07).
