Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Joshua Cristall could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper Online auction, the work Nant Gwynant, Caernavonshire, North Wales changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 846.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joshua Cristall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Barking timber in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,349.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joshua Cristall konnte im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper Online wechselte die Arbeit Nant Gwynant, Caernavonshire, North Wales für GBP 750,00 (€ 846,29) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joshua Cristall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Barking timber im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.349,07).
