Auction result misses estimated price range
In September last year a collector was able to acquire the work Donut Lamp (Orange) by Josh Sperling for GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,434.00). This price was achieved in the auction Laugh now but one day we’ll be in charge: Banksy and 21st Century Editions at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josh Sperling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Team Player in May 2020 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 107,001.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Donut Lamp (Orange) von Josh Sperling für GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.434,00) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Laugh now but one day we’ll be in charge: Banksy and 21st Century Editions bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josh Sperling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Team Player im Mai 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 107.001,26).
