Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Josh Kolbo was auctioned at Sothebys in London in August 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 756.00 (€ 880.74). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Josh Kolbo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2020 for GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,637.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Josh Kolbo im August 2021 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 756,00 (€ 880,74) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Josh Kolbo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.637,23) versteigert wurde.
