This artwork by Joseph Stella achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2021. In the An American Summer auction, the work Interior sold for USD 13,860.00 (€ 11,682.40) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Stella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree of My Life in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,937,500.00 (€ 5,243,751.66).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Stella erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion An American Summer wurde die Arbeit Interior für USD 13.860,00 (€ 11.682,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Stella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tree of My Life im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.937.500,00 (€ 5.243.751,66).
