Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scène de village by Joseph Pressmane was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2005. The price achieved of USD 2,640.00 (€ 1,988.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joseph Pressmane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Personnages Au Balcon, 1952 in October 2011 with an auction result of EUR 12,751.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Scène de village von Joseph Pressmane kam im Februar 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.640,00 (€ 1.988,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Pressmane auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Personnages Au Balcon, 1952 im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.751,00.
