A top price for Joseph Langsdale Pickering - as previously expected
The work The Reef, Holy Island by Joseph Langsdale Pickering was sold in the The Country House Sale: Pomfret House and Tetworth Hall auction at Christies in London in November 2008. The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,045.38) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Reef, Holy Island is the most expensive artwork by Joseph Langsdale Pickering that we have observed at auctions so far.
