Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wittgenstein's Color (Red) by Joseph Kosuth was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. The price achieved of EUR 10,710.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Kosuth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ‘Titled (A.A.I.A.I.)’ [text-context|AID1046897] in November last year with an auction result of USD 289,800.00 (€ 280,732.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wittgenstein's Color (Red) von Joseph Kosuth wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.710,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Kosuth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ‘Titled (A.A.I.A.I.)’ [text-context|AID1046897] im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 289.800,00 (€ 280.732,35).
