Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Saturday Afternoon (By the Pool at the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles) by Joseph Kleitsch. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,880.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Kleitsch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Park Avenue, Old Laguna in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 336,000.00 (€ 375,083.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saturday Afternoon (By the Pool at the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles) von Joseph Kleitsch zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 9.880,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Kleitsch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Park Avenue, Old Laguna im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 336.000,00 (€ 375.083,72).
