Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,075.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Kirkpatrick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Feeding the ducks, which sold at auction in February 2000 for GBP 1,610.00 (€ 2,634.64).
