Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pluto And Proserpina by Joseph Heintz the Younger was sold in the Master Paintings Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 325,000.00 (€ 292,977.55). Other works by Joseph Heintz the Younger have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 517,800.00 in November 2006 for the work Lo Sbarco Alla Piazzetta di San Marco di Un Capitan da Mar, Accolto Dal Doge Francesco Molin.
