Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours (Day Sale), which included the work A nocturnal view of the Doge's Palace, Venice, with the Bucintoro returning to the Molo on Ascension Day; and A carnival scene in Venice by Joseph Heintz the Younger. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,849.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Heintz the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lo Sbarco Alla Piazzetta di San Marco di Un Capitan da Mar, Accolto Dal Doge Francesco Molin in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 517,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A nocturnal view of the Doge's Palace, Venice, with the Bucintoro returning to the Molo on Ascension Day; and A carnival scene in Venice von Joseph Heintz the Younger zur Versteigerung kam.
