Auction result well in line with expectations

In December 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Sculpture and Works of Art, which included the work Sleeping Nymph by Joseph Gott. The price achieved of GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,111.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Joseph Gott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A White Marble Group Of Young Girl, Probably Miss Dames Embracing A Maltese Dog in June last year with an auction result of USD 17,000.00 (€ 16,238.42).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Sculpture and Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sleeping Nymph von Joseph Gott zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.111,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Gott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A White Marble Group Of Young Girl, Probably Miss Dames Embracing A Maltese Dog im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.000,00 (€ 16.238,42).
