Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flowers in a vase, a snail, and a nut, on a stone ledge by Joseph Nigg was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,362.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Nigg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still life with roses, forget-me-not, poppies, hyacinths, butterflies and a bird's nest in December 2015 with an auction result of SEK 400,000.00 (€ 43,576.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flowers in a vase, a snail, and a nut, on a stone ledge von Joseph Nigg kam im Juni 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.362,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Nigg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still life with roses, forget-me-not, poppies, hyacinths, butterflies and a bird's nest im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 400.000,00 (€ 43.576,76).
