Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work A party on horseback crossing a river (recto); Studies of a horse's head and two figures (verso) by Joseph-François Parrocel for USD 625.00 (€ 492.82). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph-François Parrocel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Game of cherubs and cupids with doves and baskets of flowers in March this year with an auction result of EUR 16,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A party on horseback crossing a river (recto); Studies of a horse's head and two figures (verso) von Joseph-François Parrocel für USD 625,00 (€ 492,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph-François Parrocel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Game of cherubs and cupids with doves and baskets of flowers im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.000,00.
