Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life With Strawberries by Joseph Decker for USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,467.53). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Joseph Decker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hard Candy in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 116,000.00 (€ 133,425.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still Life With Strawberries von Joseph Decker für USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.467,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Decker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hard Candy im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 116.000,00 (€ 133.425,35).
