Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Joseph Decker could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Still Life With Plums And Melons changed hands for USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,129.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joseph Decker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hard Candy in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 116,000.00 (€ 133,425.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Decker konnte im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Still Life With Plums And Melons für USD 27.500,00 (€ 19.129,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00.
