Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 6,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Albert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Das Frühstück (Le Déjeuner), which sold at auction in December 2009 for EUR 14,640.00.
