Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2000 Christies in London held the auction Miniatures, which included the work A lady, facing right in black dress with puffed sleeves, gold buckle, drop gold and enamel earrings, her dark brown hair dressed in ringlets and a top knot held by a tortoiseshell comb by Josef Heigel. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 728.50 (€ 1,168.97). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Heigel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A fine pair of miniatures of the Reiset family: The Comte de Reiset and his eldest son; the Comte, in black jacket and trousers, purple and blue waistcoat, white shirt and cravat, wearing spectacles, his grey hair combed forwards, seated in a green u in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 11,352.50 (€ 17,426.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A lady, facing right in black dress with puffed sleeves, gold buckle, drop gold and enamel earrings, her dark brown hair dressed in ringlets and a top knot held by a tortoiseshell comb von Josef Heigel zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A fine pair of miniatures of the Reiset family: The Comte de Reiset and his eldest son; the Comte, in black jacket and trousers, purple and blue waistcoat, white shirt and cravat, wearing spectacles, his grey hair combed forwards, seated in a green u im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.352,50 (€ 17.426,66).
