Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work Before the bullfight by Jose Benlliure y Gil. The price achieved of GBP 812.50 (€ 1,019.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jose Benlliure y Gil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Inside A Coffee House, Tunis in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 555,000.00 (€ 643,760.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Before the bullfight von Jose Benlliure y Gil zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 1.019,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jose Benlliure y Gil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Inside A Coffee House, Tunis im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 555.000,00 (€ 643.760,20).
