Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work El gato by José Vento for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,578.02). This price was achieved in the auction The Duarte Pinto Coelho Collection From the distinguished decorator's houses in Madrid and Trujillo, Spain at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by José Vento have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Niño con su Caballo in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,885.90).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Vento auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Niño con su Caballo im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.885,90).
