Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work New Language Forms by José Parlá for HKD 355,600.00 (€ 42,622.60). This price was achieved in the auction Disruptors: Evening Sale of 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Design and Watches at Phillips in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 380,000.00 – 580,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by José Parlá have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Writers' Bench: Grand Concourse & 149th Street, The Bronx in June last year with an auction result of HKD 1,764,000.00 (€ 214,665.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit New Language Forms von José Parlá für HKD 355.600,00 (€ 42.622,60) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Disruptors: Evening Sale of 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Design and Watches bei Phillips in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 380.000,00 – 580.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Parlá auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Writers' Bench: Grand Concourse & 149th Street, The Bronx im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.764.000,00 (€ 214.665,78).
