This artwork by José Ortega achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in December 2013. In the Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects auction, the work La guardia sold for EUR 2,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,300.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by José Ortega; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot ORTEGA / DÜRER + - sold at auction in May 2019 with the realized price of EUR 4,515.00.

In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects wurde die Arbeit La guardia für EUR 2.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.300,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von José Ortega; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ORTEGA / DÜRER + - im Mai 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 4.515,00.
