Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Tulip 12 by José María Sicilia was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2016. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,954.15) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José María Sicilia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fleur Blanc in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 117,913.83).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Tulip 12 von José María Sicilia kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.954,15) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José María Sicilia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fleur Blanc im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.000,00 (€ 117.913,83).
