Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Higher Ground 1 by José John Santos III was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,821.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by José John Santos III have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paper Dolls in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 98,400.11).

Die Arbeit Higher Ground 1 von José John Santos III kam im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 15.821,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José John Santos III auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paper Dolls im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.100.000,00 (€ 98.400,11).
