Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three studies of Filipinos: Going to mass; Manila Mestizo – Spanish 1/2 Caste; and A Mestiza by José Honorato Lozano was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2019. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,149.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Honorato Lozano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Types and costumes of the Philippines: eleven studies in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 266,500.00 (€ 372,766.94).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.149,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Honorato Lozano erzielen.
