In April 2013 Christies in London held the auction Travel, Science and Natural History, which included the work Four Studies Of Filipinos: Two Mestizas And A Mestizo Going To Mass; Two Mestizas And A Mestizo By A Font; Street Vendors Selling Bread And Milk; And Street Vendors by José Honorato Lozano. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,351.88). Admittedly, works by José Honorato Lozano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Types and costumes of the Philippines: eleven studies in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 266,500.00 (€ 372,766.94).
