The work French Les Connaisseurs by José Frappa was sold in the 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision auction at Sothebys in London in November 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,626.78). With this result, French Les Connaisseurs is even the most expensive work of art by José Frappa that we have observed at auctions so far.
