Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale Day Session, which included the work Ranchos by José Cúneo. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,914.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Cúneo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ranchos orilleros, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 35,250.00 (€ 41,691.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale Day Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ranchos von José Cúneo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 11.914,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von José Cúneo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ranchos orilleros beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 35.250,00 (€ 41.691,31) versteigert wurde.
